Not christmas cards!!

Had a few birthdays lately and each got a personal card as my stash didn't quite have something that I was happy with.

For our friends 40th, the boys had a golf weekend so there had to be a golf card! Used some gloss paper and with dots embossed on it to create the circle.  Stole a golf tee to just finish of the card.

Love this stamp set from Stampin UP! I had an old Beetle as my first car and I loved it, quirks and all.  It was fun to be able to send this off to an Aunt who sold me the card when I was 17 to wish her Happy Birthday.  A fun happy card.  I ended up making this in several other colours as it also works well for lots of ages birthdays.

Created this Thanks card for a teacher who has provided extra support and care.  Again using my favorite colour Rich Razzleberry and a common friend Old Olive. A lovely image that with just a little work becomes a beautifully coloured image. I use water colour pens with the ink pads to colour the image.

For my sister I created a bright cheery card using some retired Stamping Up! DSP, it has my favorite Rich Razzleberry colour in it.  The little squares were cutout with some thinlets in the bigshot and created a simple extra layer to the hard and somewhere to stamp the sentiment.  Had some trouble with the cupcake not standing out enough so ended up putting it onto a circle of soft suede underneath.

For my sons birthday there was a bit of a star wars theme, so I created a Kylo Ren card.  Trickiest bit was drawing on the 'face' of Kylo Ren.  Added a layer of black that i cut an arch into and rolled the edge to create his hood.  The face started off as an oval and I trimmed it in to create the shape and sponged the edge with white to add contrast.
